Gameplay Edit

The Wandering Minstrel is a dedicated support character, but don't let that fool you. His Feint ability provides him with a sneaky punch. 

As an elf the Minstrel has 7 movement points. His STR is in the lower range at 1 blue and 1 red and a melee range of 1 square. However, this is augmented by the mentioned Feint ability which allows him to force his target to reroll one dice of their defense roll. Plus, having both colors of dice allows him to potentially roll hearts or potions. Nice!

The Minstrel can choose from two attributes when making his defense rolls, his mediocre 2 blue ARM or his impressive 2 red DEX. We know which we'll be using.

Two support actions are led off by Jaunty Tune. Once again the blue flag means it only affects friendly models. Aura 2 affects all models within 2 squares and it moves with the Minstrel. The exciting part is that it grants, +1 blue dice on all offense rolls. That's right. It doesn't matter if you are a sword swing warrior, a zappy spell caster, or a flighty bowman you gain the benefit of the Minstrel's wonderful tune on any offense roll you make!

Lullaby is also a support action, this time costing 2 action points. No blue flag means it affects only monsters. Wave 2 affects all models within 2 squares of the Minstrel. The clock icon is the status effect Slow  causing all monsters affected to reduce their movement points by half (rounded up).

Finally we have the Powdered Power Chord. This potent potion hits an impressive 3 squares around the Hero and causes them to suffer the status effect Knockdown. Which further playtesting has caused us to modify since we last previewed it to: A model suffering Knockdown may not move or perform any other action until it spends 1 action point or all of its movement points to remove the Knockdown token.
