Rocktops are slow, dimwitted, dangerous creatures that resemble turtles. They are extremely territorial, and they attack with little to no warning. Watch out if they get near explosives, as they tend to confuse them for rocks and throw them at people! OUCH!
At first glance, rocktops look like turtles that got lost in the mountains. Some sages think they might have been a burrowing species of turtle that made pacts with earth spirits. What is agreed upon is that they’re vicious, violent, and strong, and they get bigger and meaner as they age. They ultimately end up as giants called crushers who bully all the younger, smaller rocktops.
Rocktops horde precious stones and metals. Nobody knows why, because they don’t seem to need them. They eat rock and they don’t need tools or clothing or weapons. While the reason for the Rocktops’ collection of gold and gems remains a mystery, it is well known that raiding a Rocktop lair can be highly lucrative.
